As a Creative Services intern at Warner Chappell Music, I mastered problem-solving and innovative thinking. To better serve clients looking to utilize music from different kinds of music, I aggregated a list of over 300 artists and songwriters and categorized them based on their genre of music and curated over 20 playlists from catalog and frontline artists based on mood, era, and specific musical similarities. Additionally, in order to spread internal awareness on legacy artist catalogs that WCM owns, I helped write Catalog of the Month newsletters reaching over 100 employees in the New York office.

WELCOME PACKET

I designed the welcome packet for all incoming songwriters including information on royalties, studios, leadership, and department breakdowns.

THEATRICAL ROSTER

In order for WCM to expand their theatrical songwriters, I created roster for all of our artists already on board including bios, notable works, career history, awards, and current projects.

GREEN TEAM

I worked with the ‘Green Team’ at Warner Chappell to make the New York office more sustainable. Through research on community involvement, advocacy, and an analysis on internal processes, we identified things we were doing that may not be completely sustainable. New ways we could make the office a more sustainable place was by replacing all cups with biodegradable supplies, replacing all plastic utensils with silverware, and researching nonprofits to partner with in New York.

CATALOG OF THE MONTH

In order to inform the company about the legendary catalogs Warner Chappell owned, I wrote a company newsletter called the "Catalog of the Month". Here I would spotlight a different catalog from James Brown to Huey Lewis and the News, outlining their career and legendary songs WCM owns. This was able to give me my first real attempt at copywriting in general and I was having a blast while doing it! Learning about these artists was one of the major highlights of my internship.

DISCOVERY

I helped in multiple discovery processes to see where we could expand WCM's catalog beyond music. I delivered reports full of research on what the new big thing could be outside the world of music but still in the universe of sound.

This helped inform future business decisions I was able to see come into fruition even after my internship!
